Do you read my emails?

No. We do not read messages that are going through Keeping™. We have a very strict privacy policy which can be reviewed here.

What happens to my incoming messages

Keeping™ receives and processes incoming emails. We use third-party vendors and hosting partners to provide the necessary hardware, software, networking, storage, and related technology required to process incoming emails but you retain all rights to your data. Your data is yours and will never be shared with third parties without your explicit permission.

Do you store my Gmail password?

No, we don’t have access to your Gmail password. You are authorizing us access to your account through Google’s official OpenID system.

How secure is Keeping™?

Because Keeping™ is an add-on that works in conjunction with your current Gmail account you will benefit from the same security and privacy features instated by Google specifically designed to keep your data safe, secure and in your control. Read about our security here.

 

GENERAL

What do I need?

You only need to have a Gmail email address (or a GSuite/ Google App one) and use Chrome or Firefox as a browser. We recommend Chrome, which is free and can be downloaded here.

Does Keeping™ work with GSuite (formally known as Google Apps)? (i.e. @yourdomain.com)

Yes, Keeping™ is compatible with GSuite(@yourdomain.com) email account. If you need a Gmail account for your business click here.

Does Keeping™ work with accounts other than Gmail/GSuite?

Not at this time. You need to have a Gmail or Google App email account. If you are not using Gmail for email, we highly recommend you switch.

Does  Keeping™ work with Internet Explorer or Safari?

No. At present, the add-on only works with Google Chrome and Firefox. We will release compatible versions of the add-on in the near future. Let us know what browser you use and we’ll prioritize it on our roadmap.

Does Keeping™ work with external email clients (such as Outlook, Thunderbird, Apple Mail…) or mobile phones?

Yes and No. Messages will always be organised and will synchronise irrespective of the email client you use (including any mobile device). However, you will only be able to use the auto-answering capabilities of Keeping™ when you use the web based version of Gmail.

 

HELPDESK

Can I have more than one email address for support?

Yes. You can add an unlimited number of support addresses to your account. For instance one for Billing (billing@yourcompany.com), one for General support (support@yourcompany.com) etc…

Where will support messages go if they are not in my inbox?

Support messages will automatically be attributed a Gmail Label. Labels is what Gmail calls folders. Your support messages will be grouped with one another and won’t clutter your inbox.

In what language does Keeping™ work?

Keeping™ works in any language, however, the interface and the setting pages are at present only available in English.
